We’ve tried to keep our terms as simple and common-sense as possible. If there is anything that isn’t clear, just ask.
Booking and deposit
We request a £100 returnable deposit to reserve any of our cottages, which also acts as a security deposit in relation to damage or breakages during your stay.
We then require the full cost of the cottage rental 56 days in advance of the first day of your stay (including the additional sums of £25 per dog if canine friends are visiting with you, or for anything else specific eg the studio at Chapel Cottage). We regret that it is not possible to send a reminder. Failure to pay the full balance by the due date may be treated as a cancellation.
If you are booking 56 days or less from the first day of your stay we request the full payment at the time of booking, in addition to the £100 security deposit.
We will return the security deposit to you within 14 days of the last day of your stay, by cheque. In the unlikely event of there being any damage or breakage we will notify you of any deductions in advance of the deposit being returned. Please notify us of any damage or breakages straight away so that we can respond with appropriate repairs or replacements before our next guests arrive.
How to pay
Please make payment by online bank transfer and include your surname as a payment reference. It is also possible to pay by cheque, please enquire if you have to make payment in this way. We will notify receipt of any payments you make, by email.
Cancellations
If you have to cancel, we will return the deposit. The following cancellation charges will be made:
0 – 13 days from holiday start date 100% of rental cost
14 – 27 days from holiday start date 75% of rental cost
28 – 55 days from holiday start date 60% of rental cost

We request that you arrive at or after 3:00pm on the first day of your stay, and depart by 10:00am on the last day.
Dogs
One well behaved dog is most welcome at any of our cottages. Two may be allowed but at owner’s discretion, so please enquire. Most cottages have wooden or stone floors downstairs, but we do ask that dogs are not allowed in bedrooms and/or upstairs in any of our cottage, and that they are kept off sofas and armchairs. Obviously you will pick up after your dog at all times and will take expectational care to check garden areas when you leave! We request dog stays must be notified before a booking is made. We make a charge of £25 per dog when dogs stay to cover additional cleaning.
Smoking
We ask you not to smoke inside the accommodation please, and to clear any smoking litter outside.
